Nice cutout detail on this one, and because the tree is one millimeter thick sterling, you really see the interior edges of the design. The rim is two millimeters thick which means the tree sits off the skin just a tad, deepening the shadows and dimension.
The tree of life is a significant motif in many cultures, usually representing knowledge, immortality, or divine love (and who can’t use some of that?). It appears in Ancient Egyptian creation stories, is significant in Norse and Chinese cultures, and is a significant symbol in several modern faiths.
