Parties

Whether hosting a jewelry party in your home, office, or other suitable location, you’ll have an opportunity to socialize with friends at a fun and casual event—and get free jewelry.

These $49.95 sterling and black pearl earrings could be yours, free of charge, if you had a party where eight people each spent only about $37 on jewelry … and if they spend more, you get more!

Bring a group of your friends or coworkers together, in the comfort of your own home or the convenience of your office, and enjoy a relaxed and personalized shopping experience as I present fine sterling silver and gemstone jewelry from around the world—and receive free jewelry as my thanks to you.

All I need is access to a room in your house or workplace and a little of your time. I’ll set up and break down, with no assistance necessary from you, in very little time—I’ll even send out invitations and make calls on your behalf, so you have almost nothing to do but sit back and enjoy your party.

With no obligation to buy anything and a guarantee of at least $25 credit towards the purchase of any jewelry I present, there’s no risk and nothing to lose, and if your guests spend more, your rewards increase.

You and your guests will browse through my extensive and diverse collection in a comfortable and familiar environment with a friendly and knowledgeable expert (me!), all without the hassles of traffic, finding parking, dealing with busy, crowded stores or malls, or coping with sub-par service. I also accept Visa and Mastercard. Best of all, everything you or your guests buy goes home with you that day—no waiting for orders to come in, and you’ll be able to see and feel every piece before you buy … and jewelry parties are perfect for those “last minute gifts” around the holidays (though I do get pretty booked, so if you’re interested in having a party around the winter holidays, Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day, it’s best to call as soon as possible).

Private appointments are also available for repeat customers, but I’m always glad to answer any questions anyone might have. Call or email to find out more, or to schedule a jewelry party today. I hope to hear from you soon!

What’s involved in having a jewelry party?

I’ll come to your home, office, or other suitable location and display my collection to you and your guests. No one is under any obligation to buy anything, but if there are at least $100 worth of sales at your party, you’ll automatically get a $25 credit towards any jewelry purchase—and at most parties, the host can expect to get as much as $100 credit or more from combined rewards.

Won’t I have to spend a lot of time and money on refreshments?

Not at all. At a home party, your guests will come expecting to shop and socialize. Light refreshments like coffee and tea are all you’ll need. In an office environment, refreshments are even less expected. Of course, it’s your party—whatever you think would be most appropriate is best.

How much time does the party take?

A home party will only take about four hours—about three hours for the party itself, and about half an hour on either side for set up and break down. Parties seem to work best with an open-house format, with guests being able to come and go within the time frame you set—a perfect “low commitment” event for guests to work into their busy schedules. If time is more of a consideration, shorter parties are an option, as are (slightly) longer ones. For more specific information on workplace parties, see the section below.

Is this like a Tupperware™ party?

No. I don’t do “sales games” or formal presentations, so your party will be casual, comfortable, and no-pressure.

What if I don’t know enough people to invite?

Most people are surprised by how many people they know once they start thinking about it. In addition to the people who are sent invitations (and we’ll take care of addressing and mailing all invitations for you, including postage costs), I’ll provide “hand-out” invitations you can personally give to people you may have overlooked. Each invitation also encourages people to bring friends with a reward of $10 credit towards jewelry if they bring along additional guests.

Workplace parties, whether held within your actual work space or conference room, during lunch or after working hours, aren’t all that different from home parties. For lunch hour parties, I can get in and out in just about two hours—ten to twenty minutes for setup, an hour or so for the party, and then another ten or twenty minutes to break down. If time is more of a consideration, I can even present faster “case shows” where I just bring a representative sample of my total collection, and show directly from the travel cases.

After-hours parties can be as relaxed and informal as home parties, or as quick and efficient as a lunch-time case show, depending on your environment and needs. Most people these days have long commutes and demanding personal schedules outside of work, so they might want to breeze in, shop, and leave for home (or school, or whatever other commitments they might have) as quickly as possible. However, if you work with a group of folks who can spare an hour or so out of their evenings, a more relaxed and casual event might be a pleasant way to ease out of the work day, or week—Friday evening shows can be a lot of fun.

You may even want to check with your office manager to see if your workplace would be interested in setting aside an unbooked conference room for a longer, more casual show during the work day. Not everyone takes their lunch hour at the same time, so this may be a better option for a larger or busier office, where people can stop in over the course of two or three hours in the middle of the work day. Special not to our friends in HR: a jewelry party like this can be an excellent morale booster for occasionally over-worked staff.

The organizer of a workplace show can choose to have me donate a percentage of any profits made during a show to a charitable organization of their choice in lieu of the hosting benefits they would ordinarily receive (contributing to charitable organizations is important to me, and I look forward to being able to do more of it as my business becomes more established). A charity jewelry event might be the perfect way to bring a morale boost to your workplace and contribute to a cause you and your coworkers believe in.

Did I mention free jewelry? There are many benefits to hosting a jewelry party in your home, but “free jewelry” seems to be a favorite. As the host of a jewelry party, you automatically receive free jewelry just for hosting the event, and if your guests find jewelry in my collection they’d like to make their own, you’ll get even more free jewelry.

This $189 sterling and ruby bracelet could be yours for only $39 if you host a party with eight guests who spend a little over $100 each (which is the average sale at a typical party). Since jewelry parties are a good time to stock up on gifts for friends and family in the months to come, that’s not hard to do at all—and I also accept Visa and Mastercard!

You’ll get $25 towards the purchase of any jewelry just for having the party, provided at least two guests purchase jewelry and the combined guest total is $100 or more. It gets better.

If your guests spend from $300 to $999, you’ll get 10% of the guest total in credit. If your guests spend $1000 or more, you’ll get 15% of the guest total towards any jewelry purchase. This can easily come to $150—or more—in free jewelry at a well-booked party. And there’s no limit to the credit you can earn.

In addition to the credit described above, you’ll also earn an additional $10 for each party booked at your event. Finally, if you have 15 or more guests at a party, you’ll earn an additional $10 credit.

Having a jewelry party in your home isn’t just fun—you’re just about guaranteed to get free jewelry in the bargain.
